EASTER IN CHARLESTON
--After a wonderful time in Charleston and Isle of Palms over Easter with lots of good times, good memories, and great photo-ops, I am sad to report that I only have 1 picture to share.... Here is Patrick, Ashley, and Mom & Dad H after a horse carriage tour through downtown with Charlie the Clydesdale
NAPLES COLLEGE REUNION
One of the greatest things about being stranded in Florida is that seems to be pretty easy to get people to come visit. Patrick and Ashley were treated with a weekend of fun with Patrick's old college roommates. Here's some of the highlights
cookies at the beach are always a must...
Mike wanted to take his shirt off, but due to a sever sunburn, he opted to give his back a chance to rest...
Ashley looking beachy and stylish all at once! Watch Out Panama Jack, here comes Panama Jill!
As the sun went down, Mike got brave and ditched the shirt
The whole Turtle Creek Crew!
And what would a trip to the beach be without a taste of the local wildlife
I know you must be asking yourselves... where has Lola been???? This blog usually focuses on her, yet she has yet to be mentioned. Lola has been on vacation these past weekends at her doggie hotel, and wants everyone to know that she'll try hard to do lots of stuff in the not to distant future so that Patrick will have more to write about!
Well since I brought her up.... Lola is now almost 9 1/2 months old, weighing in at about 57 lbs. She isn't really gaining much weight anymore which means we are either not feeding her enough, or that she will be this perfect size forever and ever! Given the fact that no one in our home has ever been left starving, I'd have to bet that our little monster has reached her adult size.
Patrick tried to play paparazziand catch her laying out on the balcony...
Then he got caught...
Given the ideal weather right now, Lola has been more than happy to set up shop on the doorstep and guard her parking lot in comfort.
Another beauty shot of our little lady...
This is her pensive pose.... she obtains this look by trying to remember which piece of furniture she stuffed her most recent toy under...
Then, after lots of whining, Patrick will get her toy out for her, and Lola will wrestle herself while taunting her toy... That way, her toys will think that they stand a chance at pinning her down.
We also occupy our time with Staring contests...
I'm pretty sure Ashley blinked first...
LOLA'S DREAM STORM!!!!!
--This past weekend had an unexpected and wonderful surprise that was more than Lola ever bargained for. In Lola's ideal world, ice cubes would rain from the sky, she would have a lifetime supply of sticks to pickup and carry around, she could swim all day long, and end every night with a bone...
Although this has yet to occur, we did have a crazy storm that brought plenty of hail for Lola to snack on, a plethora of downed trees and limbs for Lola to terrorize, rain rain rain for her to run in, and she has plenty of bones to choose from in the house.... I'd say she made out alright.
Giant pieces of Hail in our chair outside (15 minutes after the storm passed and it is still there in 70 degree weather!!!)

FUN WITH BAKING
--In order to properly celebrate our soon to be move to Charleston, Patrick made his first attempt at a fondant covered layer cake decorated in South Carolina style....
Next Post to Come..... PATRICK AND ASHLEY'S TRIP to the KENTUCKY DERBY!
