HUDSON PEARCE HOLMES

Friday, September 28 at 11:14 A.M. Ashley, Patrick, Lola, and Lucy's lives were changed forever.... This is the story of how Hudson Pearce Holmes made his entrance into the world.

CHAPTER 1

The story begins Thursday evening during a walk with our two favorite dogs. We tried to take them for a long walk, but Lola had other ideas. Using her magical canine senses, she knew that something was about to happen and refused to walk any further. This forced Patrick and Ashley to walk back to the house. On that walk back, the contractions began...

while Ashley was figuring out what all these contractions meant, Lola and Lucy just sat back and carefully watched their Mommy, making sure that she was okay, and that she had adequate moral support.

Once the contractions became more regular, Ashley began her pre-determined baby routine....

 Step 1: take a shower,  Step 2: put on makeup and do your hair. Step 3: load the car up and GET TO THE HOSPITAL!

As the saying goes: "STAY CALM, AND BRING ME A BABY"

Ashley made sure to explain what was going to happen to our pups.

Lola understood.... Lucy was busy looking for Hudson. "wait a minute.... he's been in there this whole time???'

CHAPTER 2.... THE HOSPITAL

Even right after a 2 minute contraction.... Ashley still has time to smile and patience to put up with Patrick's camera

(you're seriously going to take pictures while I sign my life away???)

Once Ashley was comfortable, she even settled in for a little nap and gave Hudson time to prepare for his cue.

CHAPTER 3:
11:14 AM
19 inches
6 lbs 7 oz of pure perfection!

get a baby out in 20 minutes and you too can be smiling like this lady!

WRAP ME UP NOW!

being a baby is tiring!

CHAPTER 4: MEET AND GREET!
Finally, after some quality time, the grandparents were able to come in and celebrate!

when someone else is  holding the baby, the next best thing might just come in a box and have glaze on top!

Proud Bourbon Drinking Dads need appropriate celebration aides!

everyone else had very appropriate drinks as well!

CHAPTER 5: Baby's First Bath

after the bath comes daddy skin-on-skin time

sometimes a shirt is only built for 1 person... when this happens, DITCH THE SHIRT!

CHAPTER 6: ENTER THE WEARY ROADWARRIORS!

that doesn't look like the usual face of a man who just drove 16 hours!!!

Hudson is one special kid to have an aunt and uncle willing to drive all the way down to Charleston just for a day!
