The past month has been a busy time here in Charleston. It has been filled with lots of visitors, and a trip up north to Fredericksburg for Lola's first official celebrated Thanksgiving. (she was at doggy day-care last year)
When the grandparents are in town, that means that Lola gets LOTS OF ATTENTION. This includes fun trips to the beach... And of course being that it was a footbal weekend, Lola insisted on wearing her team colors!

FAMILY PORTRAIT TIME!!!!
After Lola's activity of choice, the grown-ups decided to take on an activity that was more up their alley.... SUNSET SAILBOAT RIDE!
Of course no sunset sail is complete without some champagne in a plastic cup!..... Debbi decided that she would rather not drink champagne at all if it was in a plastic cup. In protest she poured her glass out all over herself....which of course Ashley found hysterical
Mom recovered, Ashley got cozy with whatever she could find for warmth, and the fun continued!
Of course no trip to Charleston is complete without a visit to a plantation. Once Lola took her grandfather for his daily walk and cup of tea, we set off for Magnolia Plantation.

Our next weekend included a trip from Lola's other grandparents. Unfortunately, Patrick forgot to take his camera everywhere, so here's all we have!
Most people look ahead of themselves when they walk the bridge... Patrick on the other hand likes the view looking up better!
Although photographs weren't allowed in the home and garden tours, we remembered to take at least 1 picture while waiting to go into a house!
After both sets of grandparents made visits, Lola's only other visit to look forward to was her long lost boyfriend BENTLEY!!! and of course his parents stephanie and justin

Lola couldn't wait for Thanksgiving. The idea of eating all day long, spending time in a house full of potential playmates and people who might want to pet her... was more than she could fathom. Patrick and Ashley even promised Lola that she would get her own pumpkin puree as a side dish to her already delicious kibble.
No modern day thanksgiving is complete without DEEP FRYING a turkey, and nothing says manly turkey frying quite like rigging up your own pulley system to lower the turkey down!
