Sometimes playtime in the man cave can get tiring... time to crawl over to Patrick and cozy up for a nap!

The Holmes Family's Nature Packed Weekend
Patrick and Ashley just finished another whirlwind marathon weekend trying to pack as much low country activity into the day as possible... Patrick started it off on Saturday with some deep sea fishing...
30 miles offshore, 8 men, all day, plenty of rods, good bait.... and not a single fish to be caught!! At least we had good food and drinks!
After that, Patrick came home and joined up with his favorite ladies for some downtime.
When Patrick was ready to take a quick shower, Lucy was there to show him exactly what he was supposed to do!

Sunday started off with a sailing trip in the harbor. Everything was normal until Patrick and Ashley started noticing more dolphins than normal. Before they knew it, they were surrounded by a pod of about 15 dolphins. It was windy and wavy, but you can see what we mean!
Patrick and Ashley finished up the weekend by attempting to catch one of Nature's miracles in the act. The endangered loggerhead sea turtles have been nesting all summer, and as we get later into July, they are beginning to hatch. Patrick, Ashley, Lola, and Lucy headed out to see what they could find!

Before we knew it, the first turtle began to make it's way out and head down to the water. With a little bit of encouragement, he made it all the way!!!

Sometimes Lucy gets tired after she decides to go down the stairs... the result is her sitting on one step, with her paws on the one below. |
Lucy was singing to Patrick |
After a few hours in the crate, Lucy has a routine for coming down the stairs.... First, Lucy will go down to the landing, and howl...
After that, she will step down one more step, stretch, and then can finally proceed to go down the rest of the stairs!
