HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! WE HAVE A TOOTH!

This weekend was yet another very special one for the Holmes Clan. It was Patrick's very first Father's Day, and the arrival of HUDSON'S FIRST TOOTH!!!! More about the tooth later though. Onto the pictures!

The weekend began with a very happy, very clothes-less baby wanting to start the day with some stretching out in the big boy bed.

He wasn't alone though. What's a little boy without his pup??? Hudson and Lucy cuddled up and hung out while Mommy and Daddy got ready to start the day.

Eventually Hudson got dressed, however he was not done with Lucy yet... It's time to play Veterinarian!

Okay Lucy, I'm going to start at your head and work our way down... It will all be over before you know it...

your belly button looks different than mine!

you're doing great.... we're almost done....

Please Daddy.... This is serious business

Hudson decided to be VERY thorough and get a close up look at anything that seemed out of the ordinary.

Hudson has many activities to keep himself occupied while Mommy and Daddy are getting ready. His favorite activity right now is to put on some old school Kris Kross, and JUMP JUMP.

Once everyone was ready to go, they headed out to enjoy the beautiful weather. One of their favorite spots to hang out is the Pitt Street Bridge. Patrick and Ashley couldn't resist the opportunity to bring the camera along for some family pics.

After pictures, the gang headed off to The Shelter for some lunch. Hudson demonstrated his ability to drink out of a water bottle, and even tried his first pieces of non-food processor sweet potatoes!!!

The next morning was officially Father's Day! When Hudson asked Patrick what he wanted for Father's Day, he said he wanted to cuddle with Hudson, go out to a nice brunch, and take some nice pictures downtown.
Check #1 off the list.... Patrick couldn't dream a more perfect way to start the day.

Hudson also surprised Daddy with LOTS of new socks to fancify his work wardrobe...

Patrick, Ashley, and Hudson then loaded up the BOB and headed to one of Patrick's favorite spots Downtown for some pictures... Check off wish #2!

DADDY LOOK AT ME!

IF YOU DON'T LOOK AT ME I"LL KISS YOU!!!

now.... how do I pull these buttons off???

Now, did I mention that we have a tooth coming in?????? I get it... It's not that exciting.... But to a houseful of dentists, this is HUGE! Here you can see one of Hudson's incisors has broken through, and the other one is almost there too!

meanwhile, the other children enjoy a lazy weekend recovering from a week of daycare...

Another stop this weekend was Angel Oak. Patrick has been talking about visiting this 500+ year old live oak for the past 3 years, and this was finally our chance!

Now, onto wish # 3!!! BRUNCH AT MACINTOSH!

2 of the best breakfast items we've ever had!!!

This was all followed by a stop at Christophe's Pastry shop for some Cannele's, hand painted chocolates, coffee, and Macaroons...

Here's a video that I wanted to share with everyone showing you what a happy baby we have been blessed with. Most days, Hudson gets himself up before us, sits in his bed, and quietly plays until we come in to get him. Here's one such day.

Now that Hudson is almost 9 monhs old, we have graduated onto some semi-solid foods. Our latest adventure.... PUFFS! Hudson has a very specific way that he likes to eat these. First: grab with our hand. Second: suck thumb. Third: switch thumb with other fingers and transfer the food into the mouth!
