NATIONAL ZOO

Despite how many times Hudson has been to the aquarium, his exposure to large land animals has strictly been limited to books. When Finn called and asked him if he wanted to go to the National Zoo, how could we say no?!?!?!?!

As much fun as the elephants were, nothing compared to the Ape House.

30 degree weather means babies were bundled as much as possible.

After the zoo, we headed back to Caitlin's house to shed some layers and give the boys some play time.

Both Hudson and Finn enjoy teaching each other some of their favorite activities. Hudson tries to show Finn how good a thumb tastes in your mouth, and Finn tries to show Hudson that anything tastes good in your mouth.

BATH TIME

Bath times are some of the best times.... Here's some pictures from one of our last bath sessions...

After bath time we are not necessarily ready for bed. Sometimes we are most active right before sleep! Here's Hudson getting some last minute exercise on his stair master.

Daddy and Hudson all alone

Hudson and Patrick were all alone the past weekend and Patrick had planned everything out to turn it into a huge MAN WEEKEND... Bachelor style.

AAAANNND then Hudson got the stomach bug.

Of course we make exceptions for sick little boys and try to take their minds off of things by rotting their brains with cartoons of their favorite thing.... TRUCKS

Before long we were good as new and ready to party. We played, we went to the aquarium, we went and saw a REAL firetruck, and had a great time while we waited for Mommy to come home.

Of course real men when they are home alone dress up Risky Business style... 

Once we finally put our pants on, the men headed out to the Aquarium. They had a GREAT time...

We loved looking at all of the sea life and kept asking Daddy for "MORE FISH"

Daddy surprised Hudson on the way home by swinging by the local Fire Station and letting him actually see a real Fire Truck!!! The firemen let Hudson sit in the truck, touch their helmet, touch a fire hose, and stand on the front of the truck.

We will definitely be back soon!!!

Mealtime is a particularly fun time with a toddler. Patrick took a video to remember how much fun it can be.

Hudson recently got a set of tools from Grammy and Papa so that he could join Daddy around the house fixing things. He loved it!!!
