SNOW DAYS and SWIM LESSONS

Everyone loves snow in one way or the other. It's pretty, it's fun to play in, and as long as you can get it out of the streets, life goes on.

CAN YOU FIND OUR STREET???

Lola is a Florida girl, Lucy is a South Carolina girl. Due to the amount of traveling Lola has done, she has accepted the snow, and looks forward to getting to play in it at least once or twice a year. Lucy on the other hand is more of a beach girl, and takes a bit more convincing that the fluffy white stuff won't swallow her whole.... and then she gets over it.

With all that snow, Mommy and Daddy had to stay home. Hudson couldn't wait to get suited up for the snow day.

I can't move my arms!

Patrick and Ashley had once laughed at the fact that they sell skis to put on strollers. They weren't made for the frozen Tundra of the North... They were made for cities that don't know how to get rid of snow!

Snow days means lots of story time

Snow Day means playing in the snow out back

Snow Day means cold dogcicle kisses

Snow Day means dogs eating snow

Snow Day does NOT mean that we like sitting in the cold stuff all on our own though....

Once cabin fever sets in, we start coming up with new games...
Everyone loves making forts in the house.

Forts make mommy sleepy

With all that energy from being cooped up, Hudson was looking for any way to get his excercise. Here he is doing laps before dinner...

Here's some other gems I dug up.... THE TICKLE MONSTER!

AND EVERYONE'S FAVORITE.... MONKEY BOY!

Hudson's favorite mug in the house is the one with his baby picture on it. He loves to point out the 'bebe' in the picture...

All of the snow as of late was a reminder of just how limited the Holmes Family car situation really was.... Patrick sucked it up and finally said goodbye to his favorite car.... He hopped in his SUV, snapped one last pic, and drove home in comfort for the first time in a long time!

Hudson couldn't wait to see Daddy's new truck. He got out his truck book so Daddy could show him exactly which one he got.

Even the dogs loved the new ride. They felt like they were finally promoted to human status with their own seats and windows.... enjoy it while it lasts girls...

before they knew it, they were dogs again... but at least Lola could get up close to keep an eye on Hudson while he slept

and did I mention that we now practice brushing like a big boy at the sink???

After spending so much time sitting on the floor listening to stories over the snow days, Hudson asked if we could get him something comfortable to sit in for story time. He LOVES his new chair... only he can't figure out why we won't sit next to him in it.

And poor Lucy was chilled to the bone with all of that snow... the only place she could find refuge was under the covers....

Introducing..... HUDSON'S FIRST MILK MUSTACHE!

Before long, the snow was gone and it was time to focus on warmer weather activities

It was time for SWIMMING LESSONS!
