Two weeks ago, the Easter Bunny hid eggs for Hudson at home. Hudson had such a good time that he did extensive research on where he could track down "MORE BUNNY". Word on the street was that it takes The Easter Bunny 2 weeks to hop south to the Outer Banks to hide some eggs. Hudson called in his family, and we made a big trip out of it.
When we got there, Hudson was moving so fast, we could hardly keep pants on him...

Hey Everyone! Keep your eyes peeled for the Bunny! |
|
a small 'fake' easter bunny was spotted by Finn |

The excitement begins! |
The Easter Bunny may not have come yet, but Grammy and Papa brought some toys that the bunny had left in New York for him. (Before the Easter Bunny began his travel south)

The Bunny Lovie was a must for our day to day activities |
|
Finn was a big help now that he is so mobile. Here he demonstrates his incredible balance as he recreates a scene out of MJ's Billie Jean |

Sippin' on some Bunny Cup |
Hudson's favorite area in the house had to be the play room. Bean bags and toys galore.
Patrick's favorite however was the hammock. He had been dreaming of the day when he'd be able to get time in the hammock with Hudson...
Even with crummy weather, the whole family made it to the beach for some kite flying and wave watching.
|
A wide berth was kept around Patrick and his stunt kite! |
In the evenings we would sit down for Family Dinner.
The boys introduced each other to new foods and new words every night
Promptly following dinner was a trip to the giant tub. Grammy found out the first night just how slippery the tub was, and ended up taking a bath with Finn!
Later on, Hudson joined the party...
And then he found out how slippery it was and went completely under!
After a good night's sleep, it was all fun and games in the A.M. Especially with all of the toys that came in the boys' Easter Baskets.

After breakfast, the boys suited up in their Easter outfits to pose for some cute pictures

It may look like Hudson is kissing Finn, but by the look on Finn's face, I'd guess that Hudson was trying to eat the carrot on his outfit. |
|
Papa gets the real kisses! |
|
Could she be any happier? |
After Mass, the boys were stripped out of their Easter clothes for more playtime
|
Finn liked bean bags.... clap clap clap |

Post-Ride Snuggles |
Vacation time with family means easing up on TV and movie rules, and some QT in the home theater
|
Hudson was captivated by Winnie the Poo |
After the movie, truck rides were over.... it was time for TRUCK RACES!
|
Hudson was expecting some serious contact and wore his helmet.... Rubbing IS Racing... |
|
Finn: "should I be worried?" |
|
Finn put his helmet on too... just in case |
After night #1's slippery bath, no risks were taken. Grammy and Patrick were the honorary baby holders for the bath

Grammy desperately tries to remove said sand |
There had been no wild horse spottings, so Ashley took the initiative to play horse for Hudson
Patrick made sure he at least got 1 nap in the hammock.
After beach time and dinner time, the family would go for walks and bike rides down by the water
Patrick had to leave the group to go back to work, however the fun didn't stop. The gang went on an adventure to find the wild horses of the outer banks!!! This included some very cool beach driving
|
They were successful! |
|
Despite getting stuck in the sand |
After horses, it was time to play at the playground. Hudson loves his slides!
Did I mention there were bubbles?
