OCTOBER ACTIVITIES

October is one of the greatest months of the year....

***Great Weather

***Holidays where you get to dress up

***Football Season

***Patrick's Birthday

The list goes on and on...

One thing that the Holmes Family did for Patrick's Birthday Weekend was go out for some boating. Hudson couldn't wait...

Of course, seeing as how it was game day, Hudson made us bring a flag so he could show his Irish pride!

It turns out that being in a boat is the PERFECT place to watch for planes.

Hudson even got to drive the boat!

 

Once they got home, Hudson practiced a new hybrid sport. Part football....part maraching band.... he's such a pioneer.

Later that month, it was time to start getting ready for Halloween. Max and his Wild Things had put many hours into preparing for this occasion. They were ready!

Hudson's girlfriend dressed up as a black cat.... perfect companion for a boy-wolf named max

This was followed by the costume parade

Uncle John made the trip in for the weekend, and got to help out with the nighttime ritual

The next day began with some doggy time

 

After doggy time it was time to go to Hudson's school for the fall festival. Of course, costumes were a must

the men got to decorate pumpkins together

we pet ducks and goats

we played in firetrucks

and of course we played in some hay

Halloween was a lot of fun... maybe too much fun. Hudson's first experience with Candy was needless to say very memorable.
