The Firsts of January

January brings with it a new year, and with each new year many 'firsts'.

Hudson's First Time Ice Skating

Hudson's First Trip out for Ice cream with Mommy and Daddy

Hudson's First Movie in Movie Theater

Hudson's First Hockey Game

Hudson's First Train Show

Hudson's First Trip to the Dentist (aka Mommy)

Hudson's First One on one Date with Julianna

Here are the pics!

Hudson liked being put on the ice, but was also just as happy to have daddy carry him around!
Ice cream is great. especially with sprinkles and sitting in a big kid's chair!
Saturday Mornings are always fun when Daddy is making Mickey Pancakes!
The best part of a train expo is getting to play with the trains!
Did I mention Thomas was there???????

In the midst of all this potty training, Daddy came up with some motivation for the little man...

Hudson was so excited to go to his first hockey game this year. Popcorn, hot dogs, mascots, hockey pucks.... what else could a boy ask for?

Even though we desperately wanted to meet the mascot, we did not take our eyes off of the floor once he was next to us.
Up WAY past his bedtime, and coming home with a couple souvenirs. One happy boy!
So happy that he went to bed with his stick and puck.
Some people fear the dentist. Those people probably aren't lucky to also know their dentist as "mommy"

Hudson's first ever movie wasn't just any movie. It was a 3D turtle movie! That means the day MUST start out with TURTLE PANCAKES!

I think we liked 3D!
As January came to a close, February opened with the Super Bowl. Mommy and Daddy had their friends come over, and Hudson had his special friend come over too...

Hudson and Juliana had a romantic meal of macaroni and cheese
,As we rapidly approach Ashley's due date and baby #2, there are many preparations to be made. First step in transforming a guest room into a nursery???? A TRIP TO THE HARDWARE STORE!

Lucy was clearly enthralled by the nursery project

After 2 weeks of moonlighting as carpenters and painters, Patrick and Ashley finished the Nursery.... Now we just have to fill it up with all sorts of things to make a baby comfortable!
The paint wasn't even dry, but Ashley had already moved our little man into his closet!
