Camp Dameron

It wouldn't be a Holmes pregnancy if we didn't travel in the last 5 weeks of gestation.  This time around, Patrick and Ashley headed to Colorado for Johanne and Brandon's wedding.  Hudson and the girls stayed with DohDoh and DayDay, ala Camp Dameron.  All three had a blast!

DohDoh quickly realized that this little man puts away quite the breakfast.  But you need a lot of fuel to keep up with all the trains coming and going on the Island of Sodor . . . this version even has a T Rex!

After a long morning of playing trains, we needed to take a break, and then a nap . . .

Who knew all those pirate stories that DohDoh used to tell Mommy and Uncle John would come true--Introducing Hudson the Pirate

Hey everyone, look what we found!  Let it also be known that Hudson has been walking around the house ever since saying, "Let me show you how to tennis"

Why do they look so serious?  They are staying up late to watch the UVA game.  Obviously, it didn't go as well as they both would have liked.  At least we had a good regular season, Go Hoos!

One of the most exciting things that went on at Camp Dameron was the construction on the pool.  Here, Lola and Lucy make sure that the workmen do their jobs and don't come too close to their loved ones.

Does anyone see Hudson?  DohDoh and DayDay surely got their fill of Hide and Seek.  I'm just surprised the comfy blanket wasn't included in this round.

Following in Daddy's footsteps . . . Making delicious chocolate chip cookies.  For the record, when we got back to Fredericksburg, Hudson thought he was going to be able to have cookies for dinner.  Makes a mommy wonder what exactly went on that week

Every boy needs a T Rex on a leash!

More trains with DayDay on his day off, followed by one of DayDay's favorite movies--Aladdin!

While we haven't been able to capture Hudson actually pedaling his tricycle (which he can do!), we do have some very adorable video of him trying

Hudson as E.T.

We were gone for less than 24 hours before Hudson received his first knife, luckily, the firearms were saved for another day

WAIT.... WHERE'D FEBRUARY GO????

It's been a while.... I know

A long long while...

Well between Valentine's Dances and Monster Trucks, Nursery Preparation and Snowy Days, Trips and Weddings, our crew has been a little backlogged on blog time. Let's see what we can do to catch you up....

sometimes when Hudson sees the baby's gear he regresses to a former time...
Plantation Shutters going up!
Under close supervision

Everyone loves a supervisor....

New baby nursery, or lots and lots of space for activities??? Look at those ups!

This Valentine's Day we took a trip back in time and went to the 40's ball at the Military Aviation Museum

please excuse the mustache

What's better than old planes and mustaches???? MONSTER TRUCKS!!!!

Yes we are at monster jam.... no... it's no big deal to this guy

Somewhere in the middle of all this crazyness, the boys got together to celebrate Grammy's Birthday. There may have been a birthday song playing, but both little men were completely focused on the cake...

And now a view into the life of a  boy and his toys...

Even a humidifier can be fun sometimes...

This winter hit the entire East Coast very hard. Virginia Beach is no different. Yes, we only got 4 inches of snow, but it was 4 VERY SERIOUS INCHES!!!

With all the free time that the Snow brought, Hudson was having quite a bit of Cabin Fever and wanted to go over to Juliana's house for a dinner date.... The two were inseperable

We have recently fallen in love with lollipops. Which do you think is more important... sucking a thumb or sucking on a lollipop????? Turns out they are equals in Hudson's world.

Some random cute pics of a boy and his prego mommy napping together

Most recently, Patrick and Ashley took a trip out to Crested Butte for a wedding. Here are some pics from our awesome trip!

Hudson recently learned the art of homemade volcano's with baking soda and vinegar.. He loved it!
Look how big our little man is getting...
He's gotten so big that he barely fits on this normal sized couch!

And last but not least......

IT'S AN ALIEN!!!
