After a long thanksgiving vacation at doggy day care, Lola returned home with Patrick today...
Despite Patrick's desperate attempts at getting attention, Lola was so tuckered out from playing with her new friends, that all she really wanted to do was take a little nap at Patrick's feet...
hopefully more exciting things to come next time...
LOLA AND PATRICK MADE THE TRIP DOWN TO NAPLES THIS WEEKEND FOR A LITTLE FUN IN THE SUN WITH ASHLEY...
Despite the lack of free space in Patrick's car, Lola has no problem getting comfortable and making the passenger seat all hers!
Of course, no matter how comfortable Lola is, when Patrick gets out of the car for gas or coffee, NOTHING beats getting in his seat and relaxing for a few minutes
Lola loves Naples for a few different reasons.... For starters, Lola LOVES the dog beach...
After every trip to the beach comes the ritual of drying Lola off and getting her back into the car with as little sand as possible!
Once Lola gets back to the Condo, there's only one thing left to do..... NAP IN THE SUN!
Of course, when Lola is being this docile and cute, Ashley can't resist an opportunity to give Lola a fake kiss for a quick photo-op...
And then Lola makes sure that Ashley pays for her mistake with a big mouthful of DOG TONGUE!

Lola also got a new toy when she was in Naples, and proudly strutted all around The Dunes displaying her latest prize...
Lola is now 17 weeks old... and we've since discovered that this means she is now big enough to...
DRINK OUT OF THE TOILET!
There is now a seat down policy in the Holmes residence...
And after a long drink like that you can always count on a good lady-like burp...
This is a minor burp, but you get the idea, and there will be more to come!
Even though it is mid November, we've discovered that Gainesville can be warm and beautiful, and that means dog rides with the top down! Here's Lola anxiously awaiting Patrick's return so she can go for a ride.
But long days in the car with the top down means a tired puppy and sometimes a tired puppy needs to be cradled like a baby for her nap...

Lola makes her trek back down to Naples today, but seeing as how it is her 4 month birthday, we couldn't miss an opportunity to take a quick look at how she's grown so far...

Lola is gaining weight by the day, and is quite a big girl these days...
We rolled into Naples in typical fashion... Lola hanging out the window...
Before Lola could fully explore Naples, some much needed nap and cuddle time was needed...

As with most walks we go on... Lola is a big fan of randomly picking a patch of grass, and then deciding that that is the perfect area to roll around in, and lay on her back...
Sometimes it can be difficult to motivate Lola to get back up and walk... so Ashley might have to put on her game face...
There is one and only thing that can really get lola ready to continue on her walk... and that is promise of THE BEACH!
After going for a little digging and a little swimming, nothing quite beats a walk home with either a big stick, or a frond from a palm tree...
Before Lola is allowed back into the Condo, there is a mandatory hosing off... You might think that Lola would hate the hose... but in the world of Lola, high pressured water is just another game...just another toy...
TODAY LOLA WENT TO THE DOG PARK FOR THE FIRST TIME!
not only was this her first dog park experience, but this dog park was extra special.... it was surrounded by water!
Lola was quick to make friends, and found one fluffy malamute that she instantly became good friends with...
Lola and her malamute friend shared one common bond..... they both couldn't quite understand the point of fetch...
The day was a particularly proud day for Patrick and Ashley, as they found out that Lola truly is a water dog, and is quite the swimmer.
This trip also marked Lola's first Halloween. As you already know, Lola insisted on being a ballerina for her first Halloween.
Despite Patrick's protest, Lola was joined by other people who were also ridiculously dressed in tutus...
and all it was a very tiring day.... Lola was quick to volunteer for naps, and was passed from person to person...
