This past week Patrick, Ashley, and the star of our show took a trip to Charleston, S.C.. Even though this trip was all business for Patrick, the whole family turned it into a quick fun trip not soon to be forgotten.
During their drive, Patrick and Ashley were reminded that Lola has found ways to make even the most mundane experiences both interesting and captivating....
From Sleeping near the side of the seat
to just hanging out behind Ashley's seat...
lola has managed to keep Patrick and Ashley entertained for hours.
When Lola is not on the ground behind the seats, she can be found doing her best human imitation in the backseat...
When Lola is not receiving the proper attention in the backseat, she will generally come to join Patrick and Ashley up front...
When this still doesn't give Lola the attention she needs, she has been known to be a bit dramatic...even resorting to violence at times... On one such occasion, Patrick neglected to ask Lola for her opinion on current political issues... The result......ATTACK!
Every dog/person eventually needs a pit-stop to regroup, stretch the legs, take a bathroom break, and grab a quick bite to eat. Even though Lola is traveling back country roads and hasn't changed her clothes in days, she still insists on eating out of her Mackenzie Childs bowls.... how snobby!
We eventually arrived, and in true Lola form, she insisted on rolling down the window so that she could greet everyone out one side.
And then out the other side
Our first agenda in Charleston was exploring. We headed straight for the water to check out the pier.... Perfect photo-op for Patrick and Lola
After a bit of sightseeing, it was time to retire to our bed and breakfast. We were staying at the "Palmer's Pickney Inn"... the best dog-friendly inn in the Charleston area. Patrick and Ashley were just happy that Lola was welcome there... Lola loved it for many different reasons...
BALCONIES FOR PEOPLE WATCHING
CONVENIENT LOCATION NEXT TO EVEN BIGGER DOGS
EXCELLENT HIDING PLACES
AND A SHOWER THAT ALLOWED LOLA TO GET CLOSE TO PATRICK AND ASHLEY WITHOUT ACTUALLY HAVING TO GET WET....
The next morning Patrick and Ashley went to have a nice private breakfast where they not only fell in love with the waterfront, but also found several homes that they would love to peak inside of...
Even with Patrick and Ashley doing all of their exploring, Lola still managed to get some time to mingle with the locals (DOGS).... And by mingling, I mean wrestling...
And if the dog won't pay attention, Lola has found the best way to get noticed is to repeatedly jump in front of the object/person/dog until they have acknowledged her existance....
