MORE FROM AUBURN!

Lola has been very busy here in Auburn ever since the snow hit. Lola just can't get enough of all the snow and walks herself tired every single day.... Grandma and Papa love taking her and Kopek places and they two of them have had many organized walks together...

Although they travel together and do the same things, Lola spends her time staring at Kopek and trying to make friends, and Kopek spends here time trying to avoid Lola at all costs....

LOLA TRYING TO MAKE FRIENDS FROM THE FRONT SEAT

The grandparents and grand-dogs even took some time out to pose for a winter portrait

Our walks usually consist of  Kopek getting off to an early lead and dragging the individual attached to her in efforts to escape the playful puppy... Lola then responds by doing her best to drag Patrick through the snow to catch up.

Afterwards Lola is usually tuckered out and will take little puppy naps either in someone's lap, or by climbing into the front seat when no one is looking

Today Lola met her newest boyfriend... BARON.
They were crazy about each other from the beginning, and spent tons of time chasing each other around trees, jumping up at each other, and kissing each other when no one was looking...

23 WEEKS, 44 lbs! THE JOURNEY TO NEW YORK!

Lola and Patrick headed out for the second leg of their journey.... a drive up to SNOW COUNTRY!
Lola of course made the most out of the 'meat-wagon' and tried as many sleeping positions as possible.

The only problem was that when we finally got there.... THERE WAS NO SNOW!!!!
This was unacceptable. Lola had been promised fresh fluffy snow, snowmen, and long walks in her sweater, and now she was being let down... There was only one man who could fix this... Lola visited SANTA

Santa tried to explain that Christmas was over and that he is starting to prepare for next year...
Lola looked Santa directly in the eye and told him, "I WOULD REALLY LIKE SOME SNOW!"

Santa said he would do what he could, and sent Lola on her way.
Lola went to sleep and hoped and hoped that Santa would hear one last request this season.
Lola woke up....
Lola looked outside....

SNOW!!!!!! HE BROUGHT HER SNOW!!!!! AND LOTS OF IT!

We went for walks....
Lola got to run through the snow!

We stopped to pose for some pictures!

Lola tried to tell Patrick that the latest sweater trend is to wear her sweater down around her shoulders...
Lola said, "LOOK, JUST LIKE THIS!"
Patrick had to break the news to Lola.... "Lola, that is so 80's..."

All this snow activity was so much fun, but a bit draining... the only thing left to do was to join Papa for some ear rubbing and eye closing...

MERRY CHRISTMAS

HOLMES FAMILY CHRISTMAS PORTRAIT 2009

Lola had an eventful night before Christmas, and made new friends with Lilly the 17 week old Lab. They played and played, and Lola showed her how much better she was at sitting!

Both Lola and Lilly played really hard and were in desperate need of water. Lola was nice enough to share...

In between sips of water, Lilly told Lola that tonight was the night that Santa came to visit. Lola was very excited to find out that he would be coming to visit her, so she took her duck to bed, and waited it out as best as she could.

When she awoke, she went and found her stocking... it was filled with all sorts of good treats and a stretchy Santa that both rattled and squeaked!

Then, Lola found out that he left her a life jacket! Now she would be able to come out on the boat and be safe like all her human friends...

The grand finale was A BRAND NEW BED! Lola was told that Patrick and Ashley wanted Lola to start sleeping in a bed and not in her crate, and Lola was so excited that she decided to give it a shot and take an early morning nap in it.

Ashley wasn't happy to just let Lola sleep in the bed... she said that SHE needed to nap with Lola too... Lola obliged.

but what is Christmas without multiple naps???? There have been several other napping photo ops this holiday...

Patrick is still investigating a possible Carbon Monoxide leak after the following pictures
