Ever since meeting her grandparents and visiting their homes in the winter, Lola has been begging us to take her back during what she calls 'swimming months'. We had told her that she could swim in pools, rivers, lakes, see new animals, and maybe even catch a boat ride or two. This was going to be the trip of the summer!
FIRST STOP: FREDERICKSBURG!!!
Although Lola showed some initial hesitation with climbing down the steps into the pool, she quickly got over her fears and got right in. Nothing will keep her from the water!!!
Ashley had a little heart to heart with Lola and explained that it was 'okay if she was scared of the steps', and that if she really didn't enjoy climbing down them, then she should find another way to get into the water....
Lola decided that there was really only 1 other option...... TIME TO JUMP IN!
Of course swimming was not limited to just the pool. Lola couldn't wait to get her paws back in some sand and taste some 'real water'
NEXT STOP: OWASCO LAKE!
After all the fun Lola had in Fredericksburg, she couldn't wait to see what waited for her in Auburn.
Lola wasted no time getting herself down to the water and taking a quick hop into the cold water.
Lola made sure that her time was spent not only swimming, but taking advantage of all aspects of lake life.... including...
BOATING
DUCK WATCHING
PLAYING LIFEGUARD
VISITING THE LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
PLAYING IN THE GRASS
Of course, at the end of the day, there's always time for cuddling and puppy-kisses...
