A weekend with the pups

The weekend started off with some quality time down the street where we worked on some obedience and let the girls let loose

Here's a quick video to show you just how far the girls have come with their stay and come routine

After a good workout, the girls like to take naps. They always make sure that the other one is no more than an arms length away.

Puppy naps only last a short while. You never know when they are going to go from quiet and docile to wild and crazy! Here's a couple clips to show you how quick they can go from 0-60

After the ruckus comes lazy play time. This usually involves laying face to face and play biting each other.

Sometimes playing with each other is not enough and toys are required. There is a very secret toy selection process that humans rarely get a glimpse of. Patrick was able to sneak up on the action and capture the while process. In the first video he was too noisy and the ritual was interrupted, however in the second one, he was finally able to catch the whole experience!

What would a weekend in Charleston be without a trip to the beach. We started our Saturday out our favorite way, taking the pups to Isle of Palms and letting them run wild.

While there, Patrick did some animal tracking. He noticed these large tracks and was on the trail!
BIG TRACKS MEAN BIG ANIMALS

SMALL TRACKS MEAN SMALLER ANIMALS
AN UNKNOWN ANIMAL LEFT THESE TRACKS...
After a minute, Patrick was able to locate this pack of animals... Here's what he found!!!

Here's some videos of the dogs playing in the water...

Lucy has really come to love playing in the waves and here's a couple videos showing her in action

Seeing as how Lola is getting older, we have begun discussions about what she should choose for a career. Despite Patrick insisting that dogs cannot play football, Lola was insistent that we should put together a highlight reel of her skills for all the colleges to see. She decided the beach was the best place to show her tackling prowess. No tackling dummy??? No problem! Pay attention to the last 5 seconds of the video!
