Sarah's Wedding/Lola and Lucy's Big Weekend

When Lola heard that this weekend was going to involve going to her grandparents and getting to spend the entire day chasing butterflies and swimming, she was very excited!

In preparation for the big day, Lucy and Lola both stocked up on sleep so that they could have as much energy as possible!

Before they knew it, they were there! Lola wasted no time at all getting in the pool. The only problem was.... Lucy had never swam in a pool! She was very nervous about getting in the pool, and was starting to think that it was actually just a big bathtub.

Although its doors have been closed for many years now, The Ashley Dameron Swim School has re-opened its doors for a short time under a new name... The Ashley Holmes Swim School.

Now.... Lola decided to raise the stakes. She challenged Lucy to a cannonball contest.

Although we were not sure if she would want to play along, she surprised all of us and showed Ashley just why you get out of the way when someone is doing a cannonball!

Before too long, we had two professional pool swimmers

Eventually Patrick and Ashley left their swimmers and headed to Charlottesville for Sarah and Spencer's wedding... Here's some behind the scenes shots of the girls getting ready for the big day!

Once our awesome weekend was over, we headed back to camp Dameron to check on the girls.

Our little friends had upgraded to the even bigger pool!

While the girls swam and played, their grandparents were hard at work preparing lunch for the hungry travelers.

And when it was finally time to leave, the girls begged for one last swim in the pool. By this point they hardly had the energy to jump and swim, so it was more of an opportunity to stand in shoulder deep water and give everyone lots of kisses...
