First Things First, lets team up with Daddy and make some breakfast to deliver to mommy in bed.
go ahead and drop those eggs in my cup! |
A few motions with his whisk, and breakfast was ready. Our first celebratory meal: Honey-Sage Bisquits and Gravy with chicken!
After a heavy southern breakfast, everyone gets a little bit sleepy. Mommy requested a family nap in the big bed. Wish Granted!
at least one of them is asleep! |
Once we were up, we loaded up Hudson's chariot with all his toys, and headed downtown for some fun in the sun.
As soon as we worked up a small appetite, we headed to Bull Street Gourmet for a sip and a snack
Can anyone find Hudson??? I'll give you a hint, he is in this picture, and he is also having a snack! |
After walking a few miles, Patrick and Ashley worked up a hunger for some french pastries. A few Macarons and some Cannelles from Christophe Artisan Chocolates.
Another stop for a glass of wine and some cheese with Mommy and Daddy's friends Angie and Chris, and we were headed back for bed! We needed to get lots of rest, because day 2 of Mother's Day weekend had a full schedule!
Day 2 breakfast in bed: Scrambled Eggs over homemade baguette with Asparagus. And for Mommy's sweeter side, a handful of honeysuckle flowers handpicked from outside.
Daddy's cooking partner took half of his clothes off and passed out in his crib. Daddy was on his own!
After breakfast, the crew showered up, sunscreened up, and headed off to Church.
The best part about this hat is that I can chew on the strap! |
Then, The Holmes Fam headed to the beach for a few pictures, and to let Hudson feel the sand in his toes for the very first time!
Toss me higher!!! |
After a bit of strolling down king street, Patrick and Hudson treated Mommy to Brunch at Magnolias. Now, because Hudson has decided to treat Ashley, he insisted that he sit at the big kids table, and even got to have his first sip of water from a cup!
Country Fried Steak and Eggs, BBQ Pork and Johnny Cakes.... Yum Yum |
After brunch, Hudson passed out in his crib, and Mom and Dad wheeled him back home
