WE'VE MOVED!

After 4 years away, Pat and Ashley are finally back in Virginia! A lot has changed since they last lived there...new house, new jobs, and coming back with a few extra family members. It's been quite a while since the last post, so here's some pictures from the move and as of late...

But first.... a lesson in brushing....

And now... onto the move!

Patrick got to practice some precision driving with his two 26' Penske trucks!

Meanwhile, Ashley and Hudson did their best to find acceptable seating without furniture.

Moving is really hard on Ashley and Hudson. Without a bed, they were forced to nap on an air mattress while Patrick loaded the truck!

During the course of packing and loading Hudson decided to get croup and an ear infection. We didn't take too many pictures of him, but once his fever was down, and he was a bit happier, he got to take a much deserved trip to the grocery store... his favorite!

All good things eventually come to an end... The mancave is officially empty...

 When moving requires 2 trucks and a good worker to help drive 7 hours at 5 in the morning, we couldn't think of a better person than uncle John!

Cars are packed, trucks are ready, house is clean, and dogs are loaded up! TIME TO MOVE!

It's early and I'm tired, but I'm happy and ready to go!

 The move was on schedule for smooth sailing.... and then mother nature smiled upon us...

Before they knew it, they had arrived! Despite their best efforts to keep up, Patrick and John were about an hour behind Ashley, and agreed to meet her at the house.

We're official! We have Keys!!!

Hudson recently turned 9 months old, and we attempted to do our usual "sitting in the chair" pictures. Apparently this does not work with a 9 month old.... I present to you... The best we could do with a mobile 9 year old!

Nothing beats having a few friends over to make it feel like home...

It's important to take a moment to walk away from the boxes and enjoy the beach, no matter how brief. Hudson even got to try watermelon for the first time... he LOVED it.
