SEEYA THANKSGIVING GOOD BYE TO HUDSON'S CURLS AND HELLO CHRISTMAS

WHOA! Time sure has flown by. With the holidays coming and going so fast, we've accumulated some pictures that never made it up in time for the blog.

Lets rewind back to Turkey day and start from there!

Hudson officially outgrew his infant seat and can be seen here testing out his new ride in preparation for the trek!

When we arrived in New York, there was plenty to do to get ready for the big day. Here Hudson can be seen testing the boundaries of Grammy's Kitchen Bermuda Triangle. Only the brave ones have what it takes to go behind the island on Thanksgiving!

Before everyone came over to Grammy's, a quick stop was made by Aunt Mo's house.
Hudson and Finn were even lucky enough to get all of the Holmes boys together for an photo

Don't worry Finn! That's not the monster that hides behind the chair, it's Mommy photobombing you!

After time with the Holmes Clan, it was back to the house for Thanksgiving with the Byrnes

Hudson loves hugging his big cousins!

Honey-grandma getting some QT with Finn

the next day when the madness was over and the dust settled, we got to sit back and enjoy each other's company

The vaccuum cleaners came out to make sure that ALL floor leftovers were well taken care of

2 happy grandparents!

Hudson is teaching Finn how to wrestle.... "This is how you mount Papa and bounce on his belly!"

Okay Finn, now you try!

TAG TEAM!
Okay Finn, now for the finishing touch.... convince him that you are going to do something sweet....
AND THEN STICK A PIECE OF TRASH IN HIS MOUTH!

Of course, snow on Thanksgiving means getting the sleds out for some wintertime fun

pretty sure Papa was more excited than the babies!

Okay.... maybe just more excited than Finn

ON YOUR MARK..... GET SET....

Lola cheers on Hudson as he falls behind in the early leg of the race
After a pep talk, Hudson talks Papa into an illegal move of baby carrying to reclaim the lead!

NOW WE'RE COOKING!

Grammy explained to Hudson that not only can you use a sled on flat ground, but you can also use them on hills....
no way...

I LOVE THE HILLS!

After sledding, it was time to pack up and head back south. There was a special surprise waiting for Hudson in Virginia

Hudson asked his great grandma what the surprise was, but she is a good secret keeper...

The gang packed up their bags and headed to Richmond where a special someone was waiting to see Hudson...
First Hudson got to meet the ice princess... then the big guy was ready for him...

IT WAS SANTA!

Hudson walked all the way up to Santa on his own

Although we weren't thrilled by the whole situation, we at least held it together long enough for a picture
After telling Santa about all the books, toys, and puffs that he wanted for Christmas, it was off to the rest of the Children's museum for some fun!

Hudson trying to be the youngest anchor NBC has ever had!!!
I can hear him now... "DA DADADA BA DAMAMA DADA UPUP"

After some make believe grocery shopping for puffs and ice cream Hudson got to ride the Merry-go-Round.

At that point it was nap time and we packed up and made the final leg back home.
Now that Santa had been seen, there were some other musts that we had to check off our list.
1: XMAS TREE
2: XMAS CARD

THE TREE WAS EASY... CHECK

With the tree behind us, we thought it would be smooth sailing.... then comes the Christmas card picture...
Wait, you don't want me standing up and shaking all the lights?
After 30 minutes and about 100 pictures, we were able to pick out a few winners... Here are the keepers!

Once the all important Christmas picture was done, we sucked it up and decided it was time for Hudson's first haircut...

Sometimes you need some animal crackers in order to be talked into a haircut

I know it had to be done, but I'm not really happy about it mommy!

Now, some pictures of the freshly shorn stud!

Hudson's haircut was just in time for his date with Julianna at the petting zoo!

Julianna is saying, "wait, I thought you said he had curls....."

And now a few random ones!

Fun times with Mommy during lunch
