Hudson's Baptism

Christmas came a bit early for Hudson, Ashley, and Patrick during part one of their Christmas trek!

Christmas included the usual awesome gifts

baby naps and close monitoring by Mommy

and a whole set of new gifts like sophie the giraffe!

Sadly part one of Christmas came to an end and we were soon back on the road to the snowy North!

Once arriving in New York, Hudson rested up for his big day. 45 of his closest family and friends on his Dad's side of the family showed up at his grandparents house for his baptism. Hudson proudly donned his 30 year old baptismal gown (previously worn by his Daddy at his own baptism, handmade by his great aunt!)

so.... 3 catholics, a pregnant lady, and a baby all walk into a bar...

the newest member of the man club!
This also happened to be the first time that Hudson's Great Grandma Holmes got to meet him. Hudson was smitten from the start, and I think it's safe to say the feeling was mutual...

the proud grandparents

the house was so packed, that people were overflowing into the second level.

Every good christening gown needs a good duck accessory

To make things even better, Hudson got to meet his Great Honey Grandma. Hudson put on his second outfit of the day, a 100+ year old baptismal gown worn by Honey Grandma herself for the occasion.

and of course he wore the shoes that his own Grammy wore when she was baptized

Even though the day was full of baptismal partying, Hudson took some time out to snuggle up to his Godfather for some QT

And don't forget about our pretty little furry children.

Here's some great pics of Honey Grandma and Hudson... you'd never believe there was 92 years between these 2!

Hudson was kind enough to also share time with his Aunts while he was here.

Meanwhile, Larry samples the festive drinks being provided by Grammy
Of course, one baby is not enough for a seasoned Grandmother like Honey-Grandma.... She was quick enough to snag Parker for some time on Grandmas knee

As the day came to an end, and the children put on their comfy clothes, we settled in for one last picture... the only question is who gets to hold Hudson?????? Unfortunately no one could settle the argument, so everyone got a turn!

Parker takes his job very seriously!
