No, Patrick and Hudson's man day is not a state holiday. However, when there is a state holiday it means that school is closed and Patrick's clinic is closed, and that is a good reason to celebrate!
Patrick has been telling Hudson all about these man days that they will have and all the fun man activities that can be done. The man cave is where men retreat during regular hours when others are watching.... On our man day we come OUT of the cave and have our activities everywhere!
Hudson was thinking what do I need to put on to be a true lowcountry man on man day????
What will I be able to watch manly TV like Duck Dynasty and moonshiners?
What could I play hide and seek in that will provide me with good coverage?
What can I get dirty (without making mommy sad) if Daddy and I decide to make some mud pies?
My camouflage!!!!!
Hudson put on his camouflage, and immediately got excited at the prospect of being invisible. He was convinced that no one could see him with his outfit on. Don't tell him, I'd hate for him to stop smiling.
We read manly books today about Dumptrucks and Bears and Gorillas
We ate our meals on the couch
(Hudson drank straight from the bottle too!)
We armwrestled
Patrick told hudson that after winning an armwrestling match you're supposed to flex and kiss your bicep. Hudson couldn't quite get his mouth past his wrist |
We took man naps
We played with the dogs
We went for walks..... in January.... WITH SHORT SLEEVES
And the only thing that Patrick and Hudson disagreed upon today was the manliness of using a pacifier. Patrick insists that as long as you have a sweet stuffed animal attached, that a pacifier is still pretty awesome. Hudson on the other hand has decided that ANY and ALL pacifier use is against the man code, and that he shall use his manly thumb if needed.
Here's Hudson showing his pacifier no love...
